  Choral Somisa started the preparatory activities on March 15th, 2001, in Somisa Neighborhood, San Nicolás de los Arroyos, being the name identifying its source. It is a polyphonic chorus of 4 voices, 2 feminines and 2 masculines, devoted to the interpretation of Argentine and foreign music, popular and contemporary. Its Director is the Professor Julián Sisterna.

  Was presented publicly for the first time on December 16th, 2001, was later invited to participate in events of different magnitude.

  The Superior Intendance of the city accepted and nominated as official song the theme "Footprint of the Agreement", with music by its Director, Julián Sisterna, to lead all official event be conducted in 2002 and which, linked the 150th anniversary of that historic event. Choral Somisa premiere was at the Municipal Theater in May.

  Choral Somisa participated in the Creole Mass, which brought together members of the choirs of the city. Its main presentations were made in the Opera Theater in Buenos Aires, on June 16th and 17th, 2004, and the Virgin´s of Rosary of San Nicolás field, where it has performed since 2003.

  Moreover we sang along with Ramallo Choir in the opening of the festival "Ramallo Porá 2006", with the stellar participation of "The Nocheros".

  Was done in 2006, the outgoing 100th presentation, held at the Cultural Association Rumbo of our city.

  In May 2007, with only 6 years of existence, Choral Somisa recorded his first CD with the chamber orchestra Phil D´Or, of Capital Federal, with whom he has already made a pair of concerts in 2006. In November 2007, he recorded two songs with "The White Voices" and the Ramallo Choir, in one integrated disk. It is his second participation in a disk, this time devoted to popular music.

  At the end of 2008, Choral Somisa along with others choirs was invited to participate in the event called "COLONIAL CHRISTMAS. NIGHT OF MUSIC AND PEACE 2008", organized by the Colonial Hotel, located in Somisa Neighborhood.

   In the month of January 2011, it was invited with Ramallo Choir to participate in the night of opening of the folkloric festival "Cosquín 2011". 

  In its annual program, the Choral Somisa makes presentations with charitable purposes, to institutions or organizations whose objectives are geared to the common good.

   Choral Somisa organizes information workshops for young people, aiming to encourage them to practice the choral art.

  Its mission is to spread our culture and permanently dump our artistic efforts towards the community.
