Six choirs of the zone were invited by the prestigious Colonial Hotel of this city, located in Neighborhood Somisa, to carry out the Christmas Concert called "COLONIAL CHRISTMAS. NIGHT OF MUSIC AND PEACE 2008". The meeting took place in the gardens of the esplanade of the hotel on December 19. They performed six choirs together, forming a large group. They were present the Ramallo Choir, Choir of girls of Ramallo, Choir Maria of the Rosary of San Nicolás, who belong to the Sanctuary, the Music Teacher´s Choir of San Nicolás, the Choir of the Church of Jesus Christ of S.U.D. and Choral Somisa. He also served as guest musicians: Cristian Vigo (Percussion), Gustavo Godoy (Keyboards), Gabriela Fernández (Violoncello) and Jorge García (Violin).

The choirs were in charge of Julián Sisterna. The staging was performed with the Father Matthew and the group Youth Force. The event was sponsored by the newspaper "El Norte" and "Tourism Authority of San Nicolás de los Arroyos" and Liliana Silva Productions. It was declared "Tourism and Municipal attractions" by the Goverment of San Nicolás de los Arroyos.

I join the wishes of Lic. Adrián Pavía, Manager of the Colonial Hotel, creator and who was the driver of this project was also for charity, and that the entry was a non-perishable food to be donated to the needy. Hopefully be the beginning of a tradition that lasts a long time, so we can give to people in the neighborhood our music at the end of each year.

At the end of the concert, which took an impeccable organization, could enjoy a fireworks show, and how "El Norte" newspaper wrote: "The brillant and amazing end of fireworks, provided free of charge by Jorge Dane, were the ideal end to the magic and music that were floating in the air".

From this small and humble, but our place, we thank the Colonial Hotel for the invitation to attend a concert that was full and was an absolute success. The gallery of images that illustrate what is beneath lived attempt Friday night 19. Most of the photos are courtesy of the "Tourism Authority of San Nicolás de los Arroyos", who worked selflessly with Choral Somisa. To them, our sincere gratitude.

For my part, I add that I created this website for Choral Somisa functions as a large photo album, so we can see us throught the years and our experiences are not forgotten in memory or on a distant and blurry, and for that people who visit us, from all over the world can share in the distance we do.

Some have asked me "Why a website?" Other told me "Is not it too?"

I have the sensation, being part of this choir from the beginning, that a choir is not just coming to sing, everything does not end there. Past projects that we enjoy, and future projects, we look forward to more opening to the whole society to generate choral meetings and also have a website, do that the grouth has not ceiling. Hopefully Choral Somisa may endure over time. During this period (2001-2008) we achieved a lot of things.

As a choir singer and designer of the website, I´d like to achieve much more. We will see if over time I can achieve...

Greetings and Merry Christmas for all.
